Paul Levinsohn’s has owned, developed and acted as counsel for a number of real estate transactions throughout the New York metropolitan area. During the previous five years, Paul acquired and sold over 200 commercial retail properties.

Paul also has experience acquiring companies through private equity transactions.  In 2004, he and a team of partners privatized one of the northeast’s largest retail convenience store/gas station chains. In addition, Paul and his team also purchased the assets to a New England-based company that manufactures and markets nutritional supplements to retailers like Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS and The Vitamin Shoppe.

Today, Paul is the Managing Principal of the New York City Regional Center (NYCRC.) The NYCRC was approved by the Department of Homeland Security to raise and invest foreign capital in real estate projects throughout New York City. The goal of the NYCRC is to create jobs in areas of high unemployment.

Paul has also served in public service.  From 1995 to 1997, Paul served as law clerk for Chief Judge Anne E. Thompson, US District Court for the District of New Jersey. In 2002, he was appointed Chief Counsel to the Governor of New Jersey where was responsible for overseeing a staff of twenty-one attorneys as well as managing all legal operations for the Governor’s Office.

In addition to his career in real estate and law, Paul Levinsohn served as a charter corps member for Teach for America.  This program trains and places teachers in rural and inner city school districts. During his time with TFA, Paul taught American History in a North Carolina high school.

Paul earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University along with his JD and MA (political science.) Paul was appointed to a term on Duke’s Board of Trustees.
